Man here I was thinking this thread was just made today. Anyway, I lost around 8 hours of progress today. When I left the computer I as at 24k tickets one and 1200 or so tickects lost. When I get back to my computer 5-6 hours later the game is at he character selection screen. I go back in, check the titles, and I am down to 800 tickets won, 200 lost. Thanks Anet. Great weekend.

Just to answer the question about "a selective rollback," I think I can explain: Accounts of those who were AFK were, in some rare instances, not saving properly. It only happened to a very small number of players, and that bug has obviously been corrected. But it wasn't a "roll back" so much as a failure to save a recent period of time, which ranged from a few minutes to, it seems, a few hours.
So let me put this another way: Fred played on Saturday for 10 hours. [ Fred must not have read the "You've been playing for XX hours; please take a break" message. Oh, sorry, I digress! ] In this scenario, in fact Fred didn't actually actively play in that period of time. Perhaps Fred was playing for a bit, and he started at 500 Victory Tokens. Say he played for a while, and he may have gained 100 additional tokens through active play. Then, he left the game on and went to bed. When Fred got up in the morning, he might have expected to see the 500 + 100 + whatever number he could get in the period of time his was AFK. Yet Fred may have discovered he was back at 500 tokens.
What I'm suggesting in this example is that Fred was not "rolled back" to having only, say, 200 tokens--below where he started. He may have not saved beyond the 500, but I don't think he lost anything below what he started with in that session.
If anyone who experienced this bug has a different outline of what occurred, please let me know. The reason I'm posting is to assure players that there wasn't a rollback, but that the situation involved the loss, in a few cases, of some very brief period of forward progress. And once more, the issue has been resolved and all is working properly now.
Oh, and I will ask about extending the event, but actually the programming is already in place to have the event conclude tonight, so I do not believe that an extension will be possible. However, you can be sure that we'll talk about having another Gamer Weekend in the future, so you'll be able to work on those titles again, possibly soon!

this thread and gailes comments are from february.
People deserve an explanation to this situation (current one), but maybe not in this thread (i found it misleading as well). Necromancers in forums.......

Status was set to away
Just before going to bed, i was down 1.5 stacks of tickets, gave my character a jiggle to reset the AFK logout
Put on my snowman head, put out my mini jade armor.
Went to sleep at 9am. Woke up at 4pm, log in
All tickets are gone. All progress towards both titles are gone. Gold is returned into inventory.
Snowman hat is no longer on my head.
Hope that helps!

I don't know about others but I always check the main guild wars site for game updates...and nothing has been posted about the update there. It should be one or the other exclusively...or both at the same time...not one sometimes and the other at other times.
sorry to criticize...but this could be the reason people think the problem still exists (unless they are indeed still experiencing the problem).
The update is appreciated either way...I was wondering what the update was that I saw when I got back to my computer...after having been on the rings afk for about 11 hours (not by choice, I just forgot I left the game going, and got busy with other things).

Edit: Missed that this was posted as fixed since it wasnt on the main site. Oh well...
* Character Name: Kaibutsu Kiseragi
* Territory (Europe, NA, etc): NA
* District(s) and/or Maps in which this happened:Shing Jea, District (dont remember)
* What changed -- a loss of tickets? title gains? XP? Sold items reappeared? :After heading to bed around 2am CST I had around 3 full stacks and 1 stack of around 100 tickets. Woke up to find account logged out. When I logged back in I had only the 2 full stacks I had held onto since the last event and lost around 1k unlucky points. There was no err message or anything of the like.
* Time (with time zone) and Date: Left PC around 2AM CST morning of 28th
* Any other details you'd like to provide: I had been logged in since roughly 2:30 PM CST when th event started and had acquired around 1000 unlucky points(the title I'm after) by that evening. I had been on my computer off and on and logged out several times to check things and get updates that were released. I pretty sure I had my status as away.

I don't think it was fixed, it happened to me just now, I just went to get some water and when I came back, I was in the character selection screen. Apparently, It didn't record the 15 minutes, because I had more tickets than when I left. It does seem like a small roll back, depending on when this happen, you lose points, itens, or get them back. First time it happened to me I had all my 40k back in my inventory.
* I was in european dist 10, at the monastery.
* My character is Yuu Mei.
*My status was set to offline.
* It was around 3:30am (gmt-3), I'm not so sure.
* Details: like I said, it didn't rolled me back since the last time I logged on, like the first time, it seems to have rolled back some minutes only, since I kept the new acheived charmed title.

This event basiclly asks you to afk. Who's gonna sit by their pc for hours while standing on a ring watching their Lucky & Unluck points go up? kinda boring. I haven't had any rollbacks, but Firday I was getting err 7 every hour until I gave up and did some HA, then went back to the rings while I went to bed.

Not quite.
Character: Madam Winter
Time: around 12:20 pst
District: American 27 (monastery)
Status: online
Details: I was not even afk. I was sitting at my computer watching tv, turned to look at the screen and saw I'd just been kicked off. I logged back on to find my character on a completely different continent, tickets back in my inventory, last 30 minutes (or so) of progress reversed (I don't recall approximately how many tickets won/lost).

Well, dunno if this fits here but i'll try anyway.
Char name: Necromantic Dark
Time: 10min agos
What happen: Me and some friends was doing SF in hardmode then i got a green drop and did pick it up but then shortly after everyone did err19 and we ended up in warcamp again. And i noticed that the green wasnt in my inventory anymore, no i didnt equip it or anything. Soo i was thinking maybe it was a rollback or something?

I left my pc on this night again, My char was in the same district as yesterday (I thought: 'If my char wasn't affected in dis 7 yesteryday, she won't get rolled back today either')
But alas, I wake up to see my warrior at the character select screen, and I log back on, seeing how she has most of the tickets still in her inventory (She got about more 1000 losses and tickets, though, but I think she would've had the next unlucky title now if she didn't log out.)
Darn I'm too afraid to do anything, cause if I get a good drop, I mgith get logged out and lose it :P
